We are Without Excuse - Speak for those Without a Voice

In a democracy, we must each be an active citizen for our country to work. In democracy, it is all too easy for it to become what Thomas Jefferson said... "nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine." How much easier for our country to stomp on the rights of the unborn who have no political voice?

This last election other issues took front seat for too many and the unborn lost round one. But we are still a democracy... and the laws are not in place... yet. We can speak and speak loudly. With grassroots activism, we can rise up and change the course of the future.

Yesterday I shared the work of fightfoca.com. If you have not yet done so, go sign their petition.

But there is more EACH of us can do. How many of us have taken an active role in saving the lives of the unborn? I know I have all too often been silent or sat back. That is the easy way. But it is the WRONG way.

I have added a link in my sidebar which will allow you to find out how to contact each of your elected officials and the press for your area. Take some time to write and call, now and regularly. In order to become law, FOCA first needs to be passed again by Congress after Obama takes office for it to be signed into law. We can prevent this atrocity if we make it known that America does not support it.
  • 74% of Americans support parental notification. FOCA will remove it across the nation.
  • 76% are opposed to partial birth abortion. FOCA will over turn the ban.
  • 70% support a waiting period for an abortion. FOCA will end this, in every state.
  • FOCA will take your tax dollars to fund abortion. It will remove ALL limits.
The American people do not want this radical bill... but most don't know anything about it. We need to spread the word... and we need to be VOCAL with our congressmen and women. We need to speak out in the press. The link in the sidebar will help you take that step, but the rest is up to you. Round one went against life... but the fight is not over.
