Adventures in gimp

Gimp, for those of you who don't know, and btw I did not know until quite recently, is a free program for graphics and photography editing. It is huge and can do sooo much including animation. I have only just begun to scratch the surface of what gimp can do. My first experience with gimp was when I was in a logo contest for an online game. I drew the piece on paper and scanned it in.... but then decided I wanted to do a colorized version. I used gimp to do this.



Then I started really playing with gimp and the works were composed completely with the program. This creates some difficulties as I am drawing on my little touchpad on my laptop... it is not at all the same as drawing with pencil and paper. I had mixed results... here are my more recent works, now that I am getting a bit better at actually using the program. I hope that in the months to come I get even more proficient and can post other pieces.
