May we NEVER forget

Just a pittance of time, given here to remember.... this video, shared on The Swap by a friend, touched me deeply. The video was made a few years back in honor of Remembrance day... which is the same day as Veteran's Day and serves the same purpose. I love their tradition of 2 minutes of silence... I fear all too often it is simply a day off from school and otherwise ignored. We are all called to remember those who gave so freely of their lives so that we may live ours in freedom and peace.

We just passed Veteran's Day... but as I posted last week, I have decided to post every week in honor of our men and women who serve today... and who have served over the years... to protect us and to protect freedom. An occasional holiday with a passing remembrance is simply too small for the great gift given us by their service. I will post videos, songs, poems, pictures, letters, and stories so that we never forget.

With the holidays fast approaching, please remember to keep our servicemen and women in your prayers, participate in a project to support them, or send a card or email greeting to some troops serving overseas... or visit a VA hall or hospital or home. The freedom we have to worship and celebrate is given to us by our soldiers. The blessings of our lives are because of their sacrifices.
