American Holocaust- Part 3

Well, in the last two days I have covered a lot of ground on this issue, but there is another aspect to this topic of great concern to me and that is the agenda behind it.

Agenda? Yes, I do believe so. The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, had a definite agenda with her support of abortion.

"Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race."
Margaret Sanger. Woman, Morality, and Birth Control

"Eugenics is ... the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems."
Margaret Sanger. "The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda"

"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."
Margaret Sanger's December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble

"It [charity] encourages the healthier and more normal sections of the world to shoulder the burden of unthinking and indiscriminate fecundity of others; which brings with it, as I think the reader must agree, a dead weight of human waste. Instead of decreasing and aiming to eliminate the stocks that are most detrimental to the future of the race and the world, it tends to render them to a menacing degree dominant."
Margaret Sanger, The Pivot of Civilization, 1922

[It is interesting to note that in chapter 17 of Sanger's Autobiography she talks about her early work in a primarily Italian impoverished neighborhood. There she told women, "that abortion was the wrong way- no matter how early it was performed it was taking life; that contraception was the better way, the safer way- it took a little time, a little trouble, but was well worth while in the long run because life had not yet begun."]

One could say that this has nothing to do with what is occurring today. I think this is wrong. Since abortion was legalized in 1973, there have been an estimated 14 million African American babies aborted. There are only approximately 34 million African Americans in America today. Blacks account for around 13% of the population but make up 36% of all abortions. Additionally, Planned Parenthood claims that half of abortions that are desired do not happen because of lack of funding... Given the proportion, one could assume this would largely mean more abortions for African American women. Also disproportionate is the locating of Planned Parenthood facilities in African American neighborhoods. In 1996, according to the CDC, the abortion rate was 55.5 per 100 live births for black women, 20.2 for white women, and 36 for women of other races.

When speaking to the Congressional Black Caucus, Dr. Alveda King said, "Just as slavery led to a succession of more evils, abortion has led to the decimation of the African American community. Fully one-fourth of the black population of the United States has gone missing because abortion took their lives before they could enjoy liberty or pursue happiness." I believe that is exactly what abortion does... it takes away the right to life from a group of human beings.. unconstitutionally... and in so doing takes away their right to enjoy liberty or pursue happiness.

Finally, as a Christian, I believe children are blessings from God. Psalm 127:3 "Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward." Contrast this to what Obama said about his daughters, "if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." And so as we go forward and go vote we must decide if we will stand with God and with His precious innocent children or if we will just stand back and allow the Holocaust to continue.
