Well, today I am reminded on many fronts that this is not a time to fret, and certainly not a time to worry. Our Heavenly Father will put into power the one He chooses. This does not always mean we will get the best person, nor the one that will lead our country in a good direction, but God is always in control. When God's people demanded a king, He gave them Saul. Through history He has allowed all sorts of evil leaders to come into power. He raises kings and brings them down. He often gives us what we ask for or what we deserve or what we need. And our Eternal King does so for His perfect Will and His Purpose.
So does this mean we should just not vote, not act, not pray? NO. We need to stand firm. We need to work for God's ideals and act according to His Word. I believe that we as Christians should not elect a leader who supports a culture of death or of sodomy.... or violates God's perfect Word. I believe in a democratic government it is VITAL that Christians vote and get involved. I also believe that it is even more crucial that we PRAY. And trust.
For these remaining days there may be little we can do in an earthly way to effect the outcome of the election.... we can talk to family and friends, work a campaign, do our own mini get-out-the -vote movement... but we can do MUCH for this election if we HUMBLE OURSELVES and PRAY.
So, trust, and pray. Consider fasting if you are so called. And pray without ceasing as God has instructed us to do. And leave the outcome in the capable hands of our Father.

Amen...I have total peace about Tuesday. I will vote, I will pray and I will trust in Him, for He is my King.
