A Sad Truth

OK... usually I will keep this blog light and fun... about my life... and not political. I am a very politically motivated person and I may yet one day write a blog for that purpose, but this is not that place. This issue, however, is one that transcends politics and it is one that I feel so very deeply about.

I assure you... I would rather every post be happy and bubbly... but this world is not always that way. There is evil in the world and pain and despair. This is why I have the Voice of the Martyrs ticker on my page... and it is why I am bringing you this today... here on my usually light-hearted blog.

This image was created by milehimama. It speaks my heart. As I think on this topic.. my heart breaks. I adore my children. I consider them my greatest blessing. The thought of this harsh reality is almost more than I can stand. But sticking my head in the sand is not the solution.

If any of you have not yet seen this video below, you must. I warn you, it is a sad and uncomfortable video... but I feel this information must go out there.

So, grab your kleenex and sit down and watch.

I have brought things like this to my bubbly/happy blog, too. We do need to speak out.

I am an unashamedly one issue voter. I start with the life issue and go from there. It's the deal breaker for me. To put it in perspective, I would be a one issue voter if the issue were slavery, child labor, incest, rape, etc. and no one would be outraged over that, but for some reason, being a one issue voter of the life issue is looked down upon. I don't get it...

I agree, Amy. This is government tolerated and sponsored mass murder. It is a holocaust that is ignored by the masses. I care about many issues, but in the face of the numbers... more than one million babies killed each year... there is no issue more important.

Thanks for posting this and linking.
