A Collage of News Stories to Inspire You

Generally, I spend a greater amount of time sharing news stories that do not get much main street media attention... but with the Christmas preparations under way, I have done so much less of that. Even so there have been many stories of interest to me, so here are a few that have inspired me...

I Believe Too! Barbara at Mommy Life has shared an inspiring story of what one person can do. Perhaps you heard about the humanist group who put up ads questioning belief in God on ads all around DC? Well JoEllen Murphy of McLean County was a mom who had an idea of what to do. She created a new ad for buses. Be inspired... and maybe get involved. Read the story and how you can help here. Or visit her facebook page, I Believe Too.

We Remember The Mississippi Baptist Convention has completed its memorial to demonstrate all the babies killed since Roe v Wade. They have collected 50 million pennies, one for each baby lost. This is half a million dollars which they will use for the pro-life cause. Read more and see the impressive photo here.

Advertising Life There are wonderful ads out there, sharing truth about abortion, and they are making a difference!!! A new series will soon be aired on MTV. The ad is wonderful. That article and so much else can be found at LifeSiteNews.com

Giving a Gift of Death or LIFE In what I consider the saddest of Christmas ironies... Planned Parenthood in Indiana is offering gift certificates for Christmas gifts. These can be used for abortions. How sad on a day that we give gifts to one another to celebrate the BIRTH of Christ and God's offer through Christ of true life, that PP would offer gifts of death. Sigh. But, in response, the Pro-Life Action League is sharing how we can give gifts supporting life.

"The Pro-Life Action League is giving to this cause, too. To encourage donations to Option Line and remember the birth of baby Jesus, PLAL will give away copies of the book, "What Mary and Joseph Knew About Parenting" to the first 100 donors who give $42 or more between now and December 25. Forty-two dollars is enough to keep Option Line open and taking calls for half an hour -- helping at least 14 people in need or as many as 1,000 women if 100 people donate." (complete article)
