Like most people, I suppose, I dream of a Christmas like the scenes from Christmas cards or Currier & Ives prints. And, I do love Christmas with my family. Unfortunately the reality is that usually I am a desperate mess before Christmas. Each year I tell myself, "Never again!" Each year I plan on getting on top of things... and then ... don't. This year I am going to be journaling my preparation on twitter. I am using the Organized Christmas site and although I am starting on day 15, I hope to be able to get caught up since the early days are not so huge a commitment and the craziness is not upon me.
Most likely I will still be a desperate mess before Christmas but now you can all observe the chaos. Who knows maybe this will provide some accountability and things will go more smoothly. If not, maybe it will provide you with some comic relief and a sense of grand accomplishment at how much better your Christmas preparation is going. Or we could just commiserate together in our messes.
